FLORA AND FAUNA

Thousands of species live in the Jambi Province.Forestry products,especially timber,is a major industry of province.the wild forests of Jambi are inhabited by tigers,monkeys,orang utan,rhinos,elephants deer and a multiude of birds and others creatures.There are two major protected forest in jambi Marga Berbak on the east coast covers an area of 190 000 hectares and Kerinci Seblat National Park with an area or 1 484 650 hectares.This larger park is the second most noted park in Asia in terms of species.

HOW TO REACH PROVINCE JAMBI

Getting to Jambi Municipality,the pronice's capital city,poses no problem.There four daily 60 minute flights from Jakarta and one hour from Batam island.Chartered aircraft are also availabke and it is recommended that advance booking are made.
Sultan Thaha Airport is only ten minutes drive from the city centere.To see more of the land,bus travel can be an interesting experience.it is four hours drive from Palembang and eight hours drive from Padang
